Circular to all Users of the Għargħur Tower
Għargħur Tower switch off – Wednesday 30 September 2020
Following the first phase of the inspection survey, the Broadcasting Authority now needs to switch off the Għargħur Tower to conduct some urgent works on parts of the tower.
The switch off will take place on Wednesday 30th September between 14:00 and 17:00 weather permitting. As usual, a station technical representative should be on site at least 20 minutes before switch off. Furthermore, due to the Covid-19 situation, personnel visiting the site are being requested to wear face masks or visors and take all the precautionary measures in this regard. Social distancing should also be respected.
The Authority apologises for any inconvenience and would like to inform you that if works are completed ahead of schedule, the tower will be switched back on earlier.
