Broadcasting Authority Policy on Short-Term
Community Radio Licences
The Authority would like to clarify its own policy on short-term community radio licences.
1.Short-term community radio licences will not be issued for a term that exceeds one month.
2.The station’s programme schedule should focus on the particular event for which the licence is sought such as in the case of a parish feast, a philanthropic, charitable or cultural event, etc.
3.The Authority will not normally entertain applications where the requirements of the particular event in respect of which a request for a short-term licence is made are already catered for by an existing long-term community radio station.
